Arctic Fox Flies Tui Chub Baby Bass Trolling Tube Fly Olive Green
$4.55
The olive Tui Chub is a universal color. It is not far off from a juvenile bass or any number of small fish that inhabit waters with a green mossy bottom. This fly has a mix of red and gold flash which is characteristic of the tui chub minnow found in most lakes of the Great Basin between the Rockies and the Pacific Coast ranges.
Tube Flies are not just a stand alone lure. I think of them as a part of a flexible system. You can “Stack” two or more flies to increase the length or to create a two-toned fly (chartreuse + orange + fire tiger). You can change the hook from the #2 Octopus style to a treble, tandem singles, larger or smaller. The hook can be moved farther to the rear of the fly by placing beads between the hook and the tube. One customer stacked 4 white tube flies with a #1/0 treble to imitate a mountain whitefish and landed a 20#+ mackinaw at Flaming Gorge, Utah.
These flies can be rigged and trolled in a number of ways. These flies can be fished “naked”, just the fly and manipulated with your rod. The Jay Fair method and ripping are a couple of ways to fish just a fly on a sinking line. Dodgers are another popular way to animate the flies. Dodgers limit the speed range for trolling without rolling the fly.

Why Arctic Fox Fur?
These flies are tied with Arctic Fox fur which has hollow, air-filled hair shafts similar to a polar bear that's pigment free and can be dyed "hot" colors.
This fur is soft but tough. Fur is meant to protect an animal whereas marabou is a feather which is dainty and meant for flight. At Arctic Fox, they wanted a tough material that could be tied onto salt water hooks and have a fly that will stand up.
Give these flies a swim, you're sure to be pleased with their action and durability.
